The easiest way to get your professional portrait
You’ve probably known for a while that your professional photo needs an update — and just as often, you’ve pushed it forward. No more! With our initiative we take away all the friction of having your portrait taken. You book a short, fixed time slot on Tuesday February 17th and walk into a fully professional studio setup, ready for you.
You don’t need to know how to pose
You don’t need to know how to pose or how to look natural.
With my experience of taking thousands of portraits I help you look your best through clear guidance. The professional studio setting allows us to work efficiently without rushing. In short: you don’t need to be model to look professional.
How it works
1. Choose your package
Choose your time slot in the booking tool. First come, first served.
2. Pay upfront
We only have limited slots per day. Your payment locks in your spot. No payment = no spot.
3. Confirmation + prep guide
We send you the exact location with route planning, plus a short guide on what to wear and how to prepare. This way you’ll be able to prepare as good as possible.
4. Show up on time
We run a tight schedule. We are ready for you and our studio will be set up the way you asked. To be able to service the other clients, we sadly can’t extend our booked time slot. The industy secret? Be early! We have a place set up to receive you, where you can prepare, write those last emails and then get your photograph taken in the most relaxed way (this also improves the quality of your image!).

FAQ
Who is the photographer?
Frederick Van Grootel. I am the one writing these texts! You can check out my portfolio on this page. His style is personal and professional. If you want a different style or approach, you’ll need to book a private session with him separately (outside this headshot day initiative).
I don't know how to pose. Can I still come?
Of course! We don’t expect professionals to be able to pose like models. Therefore I have developed a style to guide people who are both comfortable and uncomfortable in front of a camera.
Sometimes, it’s even easier to photograph those who don’t know how to pose. So you just might be at an advantage!
I am able to guide you through a photo shoot in Dutch, English and Portuguese!
Can I wear multiple outfits?
Only if you book the Signiature session (€350, 45 minutes). The shorter time slots don’t allow for outfit changes without eating into other people’s slots. Be respectful of the schedule.
Can I wait somewhere before the shoot ?
Yes. The studio has a comfortable waiting area. So if you want to optimize for traffic you can arrive a few minutes early and settle in.
Do you have a make-up artist on the day of the shoot?
No, we currently do not provide make-up or styling. If this become a necessity, we will take this into consideration for future headshotsessions.
Will you retouch my pictures?
All images get a basic treatment in post-production to get to a professional result. I am also quite crafty in Photoshop. So for those who want more: let me know what I need to take into consideration and I’ll fix it for you.
However I do not recommend removing all texture from your face. I always strive for a professional “no retouch look” retouching.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
Frederick has years of experience and will guide you to get the best possible result. That said, if you want more certainty you’ll get usable photos, book a longer session (more photos = more options). Refunds are not possible. Reshoots are only available if you book and pay for another session. But honestly? Frederick knows what he’s doing. You’ll be fine.
Can we get a discount if we book with multiple people?
Not for these specific headshot days. The prices are already set for maximum efficiency. If your company wants to book Frederick for a private team session, contact us separately for a quote.
What if I can't make it?
You can cancel up front, but there are costs:
- More than 14 days before: free cancellation, full refund
- 14-7 days before: 50% fee
- 7-3 days before: 75% fee
- Less than 3 days: 100% fee (no refund)
Why? Because last-minute cancellations mean we cannot fill your slot. Other professionals wanted that time.
What if I'm late?
Life happens. Contact us immediately. If it’s a genuine emergency and you reach out before your slot, we can discuss options. But understand: your slot cannot easily be filled again, so we may not always be able to accommodate changes.
Why not just make an AI headshot?
Because people notice. Even when they cannot explain why.
AI headshots often look generic and slightly off. Lighting, skin texture, and expression rarely feel natural. Viewers may not consciously spot the issue, but trust drops.
You might save € 150,- upfront. You risk losing credibility every time someone sees your profile. In professional contexts, that cost matters more.
A real headshot shows effort and intent. It signals that you take your role, your company, and your image seriously. That signal is important in hiring, sales, and partnerships.
An AI avatar is easy to generate. Anyone can do it. That sameness reduces distinction and authenticity. Real photography still does what AI cannot. It shows a real person, as they are, in the real world.
Your photo exists to connect the digital version of you to reality. Once that link feels artificial, the purpose is lost.
When do I receive the final and edited photos?
Maximum 7 days after your shoot. Usually faster. You’ll receive a download link with all your edited, high-resolution photos ready to use.
Can we also get some portraits on location?
No. These sessions are studio-only to maintain efficiency and quality control. Weather, lighting, and logistics make outdoor shoots impossible within the fixed time slots. If you want outdoor photos, book Frederick for a private session.
